Develop listening skills.

 This will not only help you in business, but also in your every day life. Many people talk more than they listen, which doesn't make sense because we have two ears and one mouth. To become an active listener, you must first give the person speaking your full attention. Stop playing with your mobile, reading the paper,  or thinking about what you're going to do later. Look people in the eye and really focus on what they are talking about. If they say something you're not sure you understand, ask them to clarify. This shows that you really are listening. Make related comments along the way, but keep them brief. Laugh when they say something funny. Be involved in the conversation.
